The author's imagination coupled with an obvious knowledge of military strategy provides a riveting story line which moves from one thrilling situation to another, an excellent read!!
I very much enjoyed the read and ride, Mr. Pauley gives the reader a great yarn without boring one to death with minutiae. Without giving great credit to technical advisors; it is rather obvious that he relies on his experience and expertise of military and governmental affairs. I await the blood sucking Gomers or whatever comes next,
THEY OWN THE NIGHT is a well written creative mix of fantasy and reality. The story line was compelling and the book hard to put aside. The emphasis on Continutiy of Govermnet gives the reader much to think about.
Mike really shows how much he really knows about the subject matter. This is a great story and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the military/sci-fi genre of books. I am looking forward to reading more about the Gomers.
This is the best Si-Fi book I have read. I am particularly impressed with the author's obvious military knowledge and the scientific basis upon which he creates the alien 'Gomers'. He makes the reader believe such aliens could well exist. The book is an easy read and is hard to put down. The characters described in the book are well fleshed out and most interesting. It is clear from the book's story and ending that sequels are likely to follow. I look forward to them!
A very realistic approach to an alien invasion! Lots of military strategies mixed in with the science and science fiction of aliens coming to Earth. I especially enjoyed the depth of character development and how the action was very realistic. I got the version but want the hardcover. The cover art is cool!
