I really enjoyed this book except for the ending which felt very rushed. Bond of hatred is one of my all time favorite books so i was happy to read a book that was similar. I am so tired of the "mistress" theme with hp and this was a welcome reprieve. I love a strong heroine and she was strong and highly intelligent. Also, the presentation of the heroine as a beautiful woman hidden beneath her apparent "plain" appearance was interesting. The hero was a very likeable alpha male. I would give this book 4 1/2 stars because of rushed ending but i can't. It deserves more than 4 stars because it is really good so hence 5 stars.

One of my favorite books
the opening chapter of the story even on a fictional world was stretched way beyond the realm of believability.its sad!
I really enjoyed this story, an intelligent and gorgeous h and an alpha but good H. I liked the way the story played out and I liked the fact that they didn't fall in love after a few days. Well worth reading
This book reminded me of Lynne graham's Bond of Hatred. As good as Ms. Graham's book! Good read!
It's not Sarah Morgan's best work. It's well written but there are parts in here I seriously don't like and parts that I do. I hate when the man forces the woman (not rape per se), even if she's responding. I also hate reading about doggy style in books. For some reason to me that's just... animalistic. There's only 2 species on the planet that mate face to face and I'd hate to think that humans slip back in evolution. It wasn't even done to strike up that thought, just dominance and he walks away. It was just for the 'woah' factor, nothing important. I've read 1 book where I didn't mind it but she (the author) treated it well. The ending was rushed and utterly predictable.
I did like that she's the one blackmailing him into marriage, that's a different take on things. Though there was too much time harping on it after the fact.
Like I said, mixed feelings because I like Sarah Morgan's books but this one had elements that I didn't care for.
I love this book because the heroine has character and smart. She is not some kind of a desperate girl who would melt just because the man is good looking and rich. The book itself has a large print, its easy to read. Having read more than a few of Mills and Boon and Harlequin Desire since 1980, this book is one of my Favorite.
I was disappointed with this book. The characters have good chemistry and good dialogue for the most part, but the storyline just never develops. It seems like a mixture of tried and true Harlequin scenes borrowed from a couple of other books mentioned in another review. They don't work well here because it seems like the author just threw them in as filler material. Normally I like Sarah Morgan books and I didn't hate this one. I just think it could be more cohesive.
